What does this car say about you?

if you are a badge snob then dont bother looking, if you are practical, want a good little run around, thats cheap on insurance, reasonable on road tax and fuel.this car is good value for money, other people are stupid for paying more money for other car's, there paying just for the badge. i just needed a run around to get to work and back. but i have gone on the byepass and quite happily up to 70 with no problems

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

friends are surprised, i think i have converted people's views on it, it's actually not that bad to look at(i have a silver one) the red and blue ones look like cheap plastic. there also surprised about the amount of room inside. i have had three adults and a child in it with no problems.

Would you buy this car again and why?

quite likely, time will tell. i need to get used to the breaks and seatting postions

What are you likely to buy next?

vauxhall corsa (new shape) but then again i would need another three grand on top of what i paid for this, so perhapes not!

    December 2007

Did you get a good deal and why?

it was an ok deal, traded in my car as part ex. new model out already (ICE) but why pay an additional £2300 for new front grill, lights and slightly different interior?

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

drop insurance group, cheaper road tax, replacing car

    What was the dealer like?

no hard sell, wanted a 1.1 LS but they only had it in, in horride colours and older registrations. test drove a 1.0 litre and loved it, just lost the air con and rear electric window's. means nothing to me as the heatting is great and i dont sit in the back to want electric windows hee hee.

    What's it like to drive?

compared to the 1.6gsi i had beofre its surprisingly good, it over takes tractors so thats a bonus. hate the breaks there so fierce, you just touch them and your through the windscreen, will take some getting used to. the seating position is very uncomfortable hurts my back, but i am a big girl and have suffered a slipped disk in the past. the car also feel's every uneven road/surfaces. but i had read this about the car before i brought it so it is of no surprise, you soon get used to it. the fuel mpg isnt quite what they claimed it would be and i only managed 300 miles to the tank, thats alot less than kia are claiming it will do

    What's it like to park?

great to park, swings into the tighest of spots, lovely big mirrors to help you

Have you had any problems with the car?

just brought the car, had it a week. noticed a very rust petrol cap lever down the side of the drivers seat, have wrote to the dealer i brought it from, telling them to exspect me in after christmas for them to replace it. thought i'd want to but a spare tyre but it just add's 20kg of weight to the car and i havent changed a tyre in the whole 13 years i have been driving, the can of tyre repair/inflate will do me just fine

What's most practical about your car?

the car is alot nipper than i thought and the more i drive it, break it in,it only had delivery miles on the quicker it becomes. it's great for getting through tight gap's. i have only seen older people driving it i am 32, people of my age need to wake up, there missing out on a fun drive

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

my daughter loves the sound the car makes if you leave the head lights on and try to get out the car. like the display on the dash telling you the boot/doors are open. love the cd player being to hand, my last car had it hidden under the passanger seat, didnt know it was there for 10 months!
