The ride is pretty harsh on poor surfaces. For the first three years mostly motorway all was good, but a change of location and more driving on poorly surfaced roads highlighted others who comment on the 19" wheels not being ideal with the small tyrewall rubber, which also only lasted around 20000 miles - unlike a 2014 Sportage on 17s which gave us 30000 miles tyre service. This 2016 model was a huge improvement on our previous third gen 2014 Black Edition and I'm sure the facelifts 2018+ Sportage has built on this instead our newly acquired 2017 Sorento KX4 shows us Kia are constantly refining and improving.
