In their own words

I made the switch to hybrid after conducting some research. The CT200h appealed to me based on supposed reliability and cost savings as I wanted my next car to be a keeper for several years. I ignored the concerns raised regarding the harsh ride and driving dynamics and at the time got a good deal on a low mileage model from a main dealer. Unfortunately the car suffered a recurring engine issue which concerned me once the car was out of warranty, together with some annoying squeaks and rattles. Around town and on level roads and motorways the car was lovely, however when it came to climbing gradients it was awful. The harsh ride and reliability concerns were the reasons for selling the car, however we then had some more surprises. Firstly the heavy depreciation, non Lexus / Toyota dealers unwilling to part exchange and hardly any interest on Auto Trader. If you are thinking of purchasing one then I would recommend that you think very carefully first - it would definitely have to be a car that you keep for a long term.
