In their own words

Standard 17" wheel ES, bought precisely because it's supposed to have better ride on larger tyres vs 18" rims on test drive F Sport.. Looks OK, excellent mpg genuinely better than I expected, great room, infotainment fine. Assume it'll be reliable. Issue of engine screaming on accelleration a non-issue for me & massively overstated by press. Problem is refinement. Road noise so-so. Killer is ride. Can't believe this was released with current suspension setup. Initially so bad I took it back after 2 weeks to see what I could get-hit was too great so had to suck it up. Dealers very nice about it though. Then found tyre pressures 39psi rather than 35, adjusting this has made ride just barely acceptable, and I mean just barely. Must test drive on road you know & especially poor quality. Fine on smooth roads-so is roller skate- poor surface gives unbelievably unsetled jostling ride-sore back after 40 min commute. Merc C-class far superior, for that matter Fiesta better. Incredibly, so is racy razor sharp toy VX220, I swear, which is ridiculous. This in relation to improved 35psi ride. Really disappointed in this car, expected Jag type comfort, fails miserably, not even close to mundane Ford/VW etc. Good mpg & prospect of reliability not adequate compensation. Unless you live where roads are billiard table smooth I would recommend going elsewhere if comfort is important, which I thought defined Lexus' demographic.
