Yes - he seemed fairly keen to get rid of it. I suspect it was a pet project.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Acceleration is like a jet on take off, handling is very good (but not amazing compared to modern cars).
What's it like to park?
As much of a pain as you would expect. Be prepared to half hang out the door whilst grinding away a £2000 clutch.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Small things every day. Bigger things on a weekly basis. Car stoppers on a monthly basis although the car rarely left me stranded.
What's most practical about your car?
Zero practicality. It required a small 'fluids service' virtually every time before use.
