  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

It is a pleasure to drive, I look forward to getting in it everytime. Handling as good if not better than my previous Focus even though it is a bigger car. The ride is firmer than a Mondeo 2.0 TDCI I recently had for a short while due to delayed delivery of the Mazda but not so much to make it an issue. But here's the thing - I am pretty good at getting good mpg out of cars and i could get 53mpg out of the Mondeo hatchback but with the Mazda estate i am averaging 60+ mpg without being as light with my right foot and including some city driving, furthermore the Mazda has notably more power with a smoother delivery of its.

    What's it like to park?

A bit harder that the Focus, but not as difficult as I was expecting due to the parking sensors.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

The tyre monitoring system keeps activating for no reason on most journeys.

What's most practical about your car?

Good size boot with well thought out cover and good space for rear seats passengers.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

I-stop/ieloop. it is very pleasing to see a big difference in mpg in city driving over my old 1.6 TDCI Focus.
