In their own words

I bought this car December 2016 as it was what I believed to be a good price and it was a limited edition Mk2 Sport (only 600 were made). I loved this car and it drove exactly how I expected. I had two minor issues not too long after I bought the car; the cable for the electric window motor broke on the driver's side, but that was just general wear and tear. The garage where I bought it from fixed it under warranty, but I had to fight to them to fix the central locking at the same time, as they were adamant that this model did not come with such a feature (it definitely did). Apart from those issues, the car ran with no issues and I had great fun with the car, driving with the top down virtually all the time. Yes, it's not the fastest car going, but the handling was brilliant, as was the gearchange and the steering. The MX-5 is a true driver's car, so it's little wonder it has been so successful since its birth in '89. Sadly this one recently died as an MOT revealed it was riddled with rust, meaning it was not financially viable to fix it. The factory fitted body kit looked great, but sadly it hid the majority of rust that had affected the rear sill on the nearside. On the plus side, I've already replaced with a Eunos S-Special and once again I'm loving life with the top down!
