  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

You're doing well in life and you appreciate what you drive.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Great car. Never heard a bad comment about it. And in Red is looked great.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes. Without a doubt. Apart from it's less than fuel efficient diesel engine, I love how it handles and reacts to different road conditions and when you want to have a little "fun" it won't chew your arm off.

What are you likely to buy next?

Got the New C Class Saloon. Would rather the coupe. Advantage on the new saloon is a quicker Auto gearbox and lighter chassis leading to better fuel efficiency and hopefully better Tyre wear but change from P Zeros to Continental Run Flats wouldn't be my idea of an upgrade.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Encouraging. It left me wanting to drive it more. It's this type of car I could drive all day and get out at the end of a long drive and be fresh as daisy. It's a bit of head turner. Sporty and elegant and people looked at me driving it they think either "that kids a money launderer" or "mummies kid" because it's an expensive looking car which people (including my boss) want to have! Just to clarify i'm not a launderer or a mummies kid, i just have a pretty sweet lease deal and a good salary at 24. Comfortable ride and great steering feel. Cant say I noticed the electronically controlled shocks change the performance much on windy roads but it still drove superbly with excellent grip regardless of its weight. Lacked head room in the back for passengers.

    What's it like to park?

Yes it has the park assist but when your in the heat of battle in town with angry locals up your rear, you don't want to be fannying around looking at the screen seeing how much to turn the wheel. Visibility is good around the sides to rely upon the rear parking sensors and your in quick. Really good turning angle means great turning circle and maneuvering capabilities.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Wore through the rear P Zero tyres within 11 thousand miles/1 year. But being a heavy car, I should have expected this. Rather high tail meant reversing with tints was a little more challenging.

What's most practical about your car?

Great handling and pleasurable cockpit. Spacious with well supported seats.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Command system was spot on. Wishing Merc never changed it for the new C class. Hugging seat belts was a quirky feature I liked.
