  • Economy

    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

Quite expensive to buy, but quality like this doesn't come cheap.

    Costs

    3 out of 5 3.0

Some dealer parts/servicing can be expensive, but there's loads of good specialists out there to ease the burden of servicing and maintenance.

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Suberb chassis. Excellent grip. Suspension is a good compromise between sporty and comfort. Slight oversteer when pushed hard. Always a delight.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

A true wolf in sheep's clothing. Very tactile and civilised to drive until that supercharger kicks in, then it becomes a rocket.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    4 out of 5 4.0

Excellent, apart from the alarm/immobiliser problem, which I'm told will be fine when my new keys arrive (£56 + Vat each!)

    Image

    5 out of 5 5.0

The three pointed star says it all. Less "brash" than a BMW.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Excellent seats/driving position/ride. Could drive it for hundreds of miles without getting tired.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

Alarm/immobiliser good (when it works). In fact, it's so good it sometimes won't let me in!

    Service

    1 out of 5 1.0

The only downside of owning this car has been my local dealer who is arrogant and doesn't car, maybe because the car is over 3 years old... but aren't Mercs supposed to be engineered to last a lifetime? I'll have to find a better main dealer.

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Engine

    Other

Alarm/immobiliser temperamental, seems problem lies in remote keys... ongoing.
