Value
Spent a long time looking and found a bargain, from M-B with signature warranty.
Costs
M-B are B*@&$y expensive. Finding a really good independent will halve maintenance costs. Unless you intend to sell within about 3 years, I wouldn't go MB.

On the road
Driving
Very comfortable and quiet (on 15" rims, but a bit noisy on 17").
Performance
Reasonably quick (0-60 10 secs), but the point is you can get that without having to be a deva with the gearbox, just point and fire!

Living with it
Reliability
Very, very reliable. Mine is now on 160k miles and looking good for another 160k.

Drop all the windows on this pillarless and watch the heads turn! I get complementary comments from older gents who own / used to own Mercs! I also prefer this to all but the new CL/SL.
Comfort
Seats are firm, but very comfortable. Can and have done 500 miles non-stop.

Security
I still own it! I remember a TV prog where thieves tried to drive away with various motors. One of these appeared, but they couldn't get it going. But interior isn't secure, a pillarless vulnerable.
Service
Had a gearbox issue 1 week inside the end of the warranty and they said "of course we'll fix it sir, just sit down and relax". Signiture warranties are worth having.

Head gasket is just beginning to leak a little £600 fix, then another 160k miles.
Other
Had an accident, van use me as a brake. 2mm dent on rear of car and totally demolished van!
