  • Economy

    Value

    5 out of 5 5.0

A practical sports cruiser. Comfortably takes 4 adults and their luggage. A good compromise between practicality and performance.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

37mpg if driven at average speeds. Fuel consumption doesn't vary much when laden, so it's reasonably cheap to run - insurance is ok also (I'm over 30).

  • On the road

    Driving

    5 out of 5 5.0

Great long distance cruiser. Handles very well on B-routes, despite its weight, feels very sure-footed, brakes are fantastic, autobox is very smooth and also allows high revving.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Reasonably fast from standing start, with huge torque at overtaking speeds, although the supercharger can take a bit of getting used to.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

    A very well built car.

    4 out of 5 4.0

Takes you out of the boy-racer BMW 3-Series league. It has a touch more class.

    Comfort

    5 out of 5 5.0

Very comfortable. Easily takes 4 average adults without anyone being cramped. Rear seats are very deep, but tall people will suffer from a lack of headroom in them.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

Good security package, but could probably do with a tracker.

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

Haven't really had much dealings with them due to low mileage and long service interval.

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Other

Fuel guage has gone on the blink temporarily twice, but only while I was in Eire. Bumpy roads?
