• Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

Practically minded and don't necessarily follow the herd in terms of buying decisions.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Everyone seems to really like it, both riding in and looking at.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, I would get a newer one but would still have to be LPG converted. I like the low road tax with the pre-02 ones though.

What are you likely to buy next?

Mercedes SLK as a third car :).

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Independent

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £2,995

When did you buy the car?

    January 2013

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes, got full MoT, full service, new tyres, and a six month warranty included in the price.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Needed a 7 seater with a bit more character than a people carrier, and as it is used as a second car for less than 5000 miles a year engine size and fuel consumption not such a big issue.

    What was the dealer like?

Dealer was friendly and helpful, comprehensive test drive offered and service history handed over. Car was fully valeted.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Plenty of power, very comfortable over long distances and seats are excellent.

    What's it like to park?

I'm used to big cars so not a real problem, turning circle is very good for the size. It is a very bog car though, bigger than you might think before getting one.

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

No faults at all so far.

What's most practical about your car?

Loads of space, the 6th and 7th seats can fold up or be easily lifted out for loads of luggage space.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Four wheel drive and M&S tyres made driving up snow covered hills a hoot. My car is also LPG converted, with auto switch over between petrol and gas. Fuel is about half the price of diesel, I love filling up for 40 quid. No obvious loss of power either. The tank is fitted underneath so spare wheel is mounted on a gate style fitting on the tailgate.
