In their own words

I test drove a couple of MG3s when they came out but didn't buy one - i was put off by all the write ups of the engine being gutless and doubts about the quality. However i took the plunge with a year old, private sale example that was very well priced. Firstly the engine - having done 14K miles now it isn't gutless or rough - it pulls very well and exceeds my expectations totally. Its economical too - i can get 50 mpg if i try and average is high 40s which given the size of the car isn't bad at all. It steers and handles well making it fun to drive. Attack the twisty bits and the MG3 proves its not a run-of-the-mill cheapo hatchback. The paintwork is superb with a deep shine and the alloys are really nice. It has no rattles or squeaks from the interior trim and the whole car feels very well made. Factor in the low price and its almost an unbelievable bargain. To find so much equipment included as well is a bonus - the radio sounds great too. The MG3 is a car that can be overlooked as its quite rare ( exclusive if you prefer!) but doing so is a mistake as it offers so much for so little.
