  • Summary

    3 out of 5 3.0

What does this car say about you?

    No idea.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like it. It's bright red and sticks out a mile.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No, no and no. Parts are very expensive, and there's not much that can be done yourself. It is a big car, but can't carry big things. There is plenty of boot room for shopping trips, but not very good for carrying big objects. And it's very thirsty. 30 mpg? Not a cat in hell's. 20 at best.

What are you likely to buy next?

A Volvo T5 of some kind.

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Independent

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £4,500

When did you buy the car?

    June 2007

Did you get a good deal and why?

A reasonable deal, but I wouldn't use them again.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

My brother has the turbo one, and I liked that one.

    What was the dealer like?

Ok at best. The car went back to the dealer for some work done when I had only had it two days. They got the work done, but used the 40-odd litres of fuel that I'd put in the tank.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

It's a nice drive, and sounds great.

    What's it like to park?

It's a big old rascal. Power steering helps.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Clutch and flywheel, and clutch master cylinder. This cost me £1050 at Mr Clutch. I will not be keeping the car for long.

What's most practical about your car?

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The nicest thing is the driving position - the seats are good, and it's easy to get a comfortable driving position.
