In their own words

There's lots to like about this car. It looks great, it's spacious and has a nice exterior. I had no serious problems with the car but there's some design flaws that really annoyed me. In the winter months the doors used to freeze shut, no amount of de-icing would open them. The inner door seals were getting moisture in somehow and so ice built inside the door frames meaning I couldn't open the doors. I told Mini, took it back but they said nothing was wrong with the seals - issue was never resolved. The road noise is loud - if I drove any rough surface (like anti -slip) it was ridiculously loud. The ride was had over uneven surfaces and the steering is pretty heavy for a small car. Although it has the fun Mini factor to driving, it wasn't a comfortable drive. The onboard computer was also temperamental, it would flash up warning signs from nowhere then they would just disappear. The brake pad warnings came on way before the pads actually needed changed - the Mini dealership failed one of the MOTs on this basis, but when I took it to anther garage they said the pads were well within the legal requirements. Despite it being a practical and good looking car it has really put me off buying another Mini. there were too many annoying features and I got no resolve from the Mini dealerships so I have sold the Mini for a MB.
