Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

I was sensibly advised to stay away from an S (second hand) and the 80bhp I think is probably underpowered (hence 4 star for choosing version). My model is 5*, 122bhp and really fun to drive, which is what I missed in my immaculate but slower BMW 318ci SE. I miss the BMW cruise control, made good use of it in average speed check areas. Boot obviously a downsize, but being able to put the seats down makes a huge difference, as do the two side levers that allow you to move the sunroof bottom up to make boot entrance bigger while loading. You can also leave the tailgate down to carry up to an 80kg load! And always remember putting the roof down gives you a rather fancy pick up truck :). Love having a sunroof again, (none since 2007) after a Golf cabby and 318 cabby, both all or nothing. I am really enjoying it, and setting off for London later today, and am looking forward to the drive, and the easy parking when I get there, due to her modest proportions. Always thought parking sensors OTT for a Mini cabby, but they're not, you need them due to abysmal vis with roof up as the back corners are possibly overly generous, a small quibble however, as I do have sensors.

How reliable do you find the car?

I bought it with an oil leak (vastly overfilled, my local garage emptied half of it out!) and a filthy and mould stained roof. (Only 2 owners and full BMW Mini service history caused purchase, plus immaculate inside) Several hours of external cleaning with sodabicarb and wooly wash, transformed the roof from brown/faded black to original denim blue which now matches the car. Good wash and polish has transformed the car to what I hoped it would be.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

Makes driving fun again, and the petrol consumption (or lack of it) is awe-inspiring. When I take my foot off it tells me it's doing 99.9mpg!!! 46mpg quoted above has all been short journeys, since purchase last week, long one coming up shortly when I reckon I'll get high 40's. Diesel consumption though with very pc petrol. Tax £135 for the whole year too! Very glad I hunted down an unwashed 2010 model, other buyers put off by the dirt, all superficial. Now thoroughly cleaned she looks gorgeous.
