Value
This is a small BMW we are talking about here - with the quality you expect from a BMW. A better alternative to the over-priced Cooper.
Costs
Economical car - good on the motorway and around town. Economical insurance also.

On the road
Driving
Wow - its low slung sports seats make you feel like you are in a racing car. It is the smoothest and quietest drive that I have ever experienced. I can't believe how different it is to my old Mini.
Performance
No problems with this car at all. Gearbox provides excellent acceleration.

Reliability
Brilliant so far. None of the electrical problems that I had read about, although these, apparently, had been solved before the 2002 cars were produced.

I am the coolest person I know at the moment! Heads turn as I drive past. However I did nearly write off the car in a head on collision the other day whilst acknowledging gasps of admiration.
Comfort
I have been genuinely impressed with the amount of space within the car. My children are more than comfortable in the back.

I go out and shout at people when they come within 10 feet of it!
