MINI Hatchback Cooper Sport 3d Owner Review

MINI Hatch review (2021)

In their own words

This is my second Mini; I previously had a Copper D. The current model is the 1.5 petrol, 3 door in sport trim. It’s fabulous: well built, with a quality finish, great fun to drive, comfortable and has proven to be a good learner driver car as I use it for my driving school. The performance is ‘pokey’ and delivers a melodious engine note. I find the economy seldom wavers from around 36 mpg irrespective of which driving mode I choose. I have only two niggles with the Mini: the dipping rear view mirror has an annoying turn switch, distinct from every other car I’ve owned which used a clicker mechanism which is simple and easy to use, this isn’t and impossible with gloves on. The second, is the annoying BMW designed two switch indicators. They’ve tried to be too clever and frankly should keep to the tried and tested indicator switches used on virtually every other car. These are bad designs which could easily be remedied. That being said, the Mini is a joy to use and drive, puts a smile on my face every time I drive it and I shall probably buy another one when the time comes to change it.
