What does this car say about you?

Don't like to be too run of the mill. There aren't an awful lot of them about. Also,I can spot a bargain!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Every one loves it and are generally impressed with the ride and space.Only suffered boy racer jibe once!. Slight stigma of a spoiler on the boot.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes,scared to get rid of this one It has never let me down.Total reliability means everything.

What are you likely to buy next?

I am at a loss,The newer Lancer doesn;t seem so well recieved. Seems like the same performance and co2 from a slightly smaller engine.Have not actually driven one though.

    £3,000

When did you buy the car?

    January 2013

Did you get a good deal and why?

I thought so. 3 Months warranty included. Full years mot all serviced up to date. Valeted and all good tyres. Brand new spare,Toolkit apparently never used. Pretty low milage. Serviced every 8000 miles or so through its.life.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Travel back to Scotland regularly.also found use of works van due to tax and fuel costs prohibitive.

    What was the dealer like?

Typ[cal Merc dealer. Couldn't get me out quick enough. However, like all dealers they need a cash flow after Xmas so you will often find decent motors "priced to sell". The car trade dies a death at this time of year. Take advantage if you can!

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

Steers like its on rails and hugs the corners brilliantly. Not breathtakingly quick though. Comfy and smooth.Economical enough up to 70 mph.

    What's it like to park?

Ok. I do find the wing mirrors don't see kerbs without a bit of neck stretching. mirrors are electric. A slight issue though. Fine for driving.
