Dead cheap second hand - a good one can be had for less than £1500.

Extortionate insurance and pretty thirsty too.

A ten year old car which drives better than anything else I've ever driven, including brand new cars.
Performance
Awesome. Be careful - it will whip you up to 130 plus in no time. Acceleration is fantastic (it really will do 0-60 in 7 seconds), although you've gotta keep the turbo wound up.

Living with it
Reliability
Superb, but you have change the oil frequently and you must look after the turbo - ie, don't shut the engine off straight away after gunning it, but let the turbo cool down first.

It's a beautiful looking car and if people don't see the reg, they think its a much newer model than it actually is.
Comfort
I've done several 7-hour drives down to Cornwall in it and I haven't had back ache.

Crap - mine got nicked and destroyed by some repulsive joy rider. You MUST get a decent crook lock for it.
