  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

Well it's a nissan sports car so I guess it says I'm an individual that has chosen the car for it's looks and performance not just for a badge. It also seems to stand out amongst the crowd and have a cool mysteriousness about it.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

freinds say they like it better than the 911 I had as it has a cool image without the arrogant poser d-head of a porsche and they like the way it looks and the exhaust howl note.

Would you buy this car again and why?

yes. great value, reliable, looks and sounds great, quite rare compared to over produced common TT's, RX8's etc. my local nissan main dealer are very helpful and polite

What are you likely to buy next?

not sure, maybe porsche 911 carrera 4s or carrera 2 with comprehensive warranty. Or wait till new version of toyota supra comes out

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    Yes

    What price did you pay?

    £24,000

When did you buy the car?

    August 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?

yes. Got a good deal on the 350z and in the best possible colour (Black). I traded in my porsche 911 carrera 4 which is a fantastic sports car but seemed too unreliable and expensive to run. Never buy any porsche without an extensive warranty - money pit!!

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

really liked the look of the 350z when the new raised bonnet 313bhp model came out and the sound it made.

    What was the dealer like?

NOT good. they sold it to me as a normal uk car but about a week later I found out via my local nissan dealer that it is an Irish import so has km readings intsead of miles on the computer which costs about £2K to change it to miles!! The dealer offered me full £24K refund but I didn't see another new/newish Black one for sale so I liked the car too much I stuck with it and as a bit of compenstation they paid for my mats and bit of warranty extension.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

I test drove a new GTR first which I found a bit disapointing compared to the 350z which actually sounds and feels sportier and alot cheaper to buy!! I also drove a new 370z which I disapointingly found not as good as the 350z as didn't look & sound as nice and visibilty dangerously poor. I really recomend the 350z. It's a great fun drive, very vocal, steering feels very good as power steering cleverly automatically switches off when going fast. not the fastest car I've had but just feels loads of fun. It's quite a heavy car and seems to have a bit of a gradual lazy creamy acceleration compared to the 911 I had and also not as quick as my UK supra. But it's not all about 0-60 time. Around town speeds it sounds fantastic and the Clutch is great as is the softest of any car I've driven whi

    What's it like to park?

not that good to park as rear visibilty a bit limited and is fairly wide but way easier than the 370z. Should have parking sensors as standard.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

it's now got 6.5k miles and no faults just back window washer but my local main nissan dealer fixed that. Paint seems to chip quite easily though so might be advisable to wax it often I guess?

What's most practical about your car?

    it has a boot.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

good bose stereo no vibration at high vol. and glasses storage on ceiling by rear view mirror is neat and useful
