Cost me £150 for the car and a JVC stereo and speakers! Good condition and could easily sell it on for £400.

Fuel consumption is excellent when driven like an old lady, but when your ragging the thing through the gears and staying in 3rd to about 80mph it drinks fuel a little bit more! Good overall though and parts are cheap as chips.. fix it yourself!

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Very nippy for a 1.0. Keeps up with my mate's 1.2 Corsa to about 60mph before it gets the 16v edge! Body rolls a bit hairy, but when you go round ring roads at 80 and the tyres are screeching it just adds to the fun. Foot on the floor and your fine.

    Performance

    3 out of 5 3.0

Ha ha, when its driven normally its nothing special, but if you use all the acceleration in the bottom gears and drive fast round corners as opposed to slowing down and speeding up again, you'll keep up with a Clio 182.

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

Even when driven for hours on end its fine. Drove 180 miles in one burst at high speed and the temperature gauge never budged. I swear its just painted on there!

    Image

    2 out of 5 2.0

Not the worst but there's no sex appeal in it! Give it a old skool design respray and some alloys.. tint the windows and as long as its not overdone it'll look pretty good!

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Lots of headroom, seats don't move back quite enough but its still comfortable! The ride is very bouncy and the engine noise is loud but it all adds to the charm.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    1 out of 5 1.0

I locked my keys in their once and my step dad broke in in under 2 minutes with a wire coat hanger and some string.. enough said!

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

Not needed a service so far.

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Engine

Engine is fine, a bit of rust coverage. Nothing hits 16 and stays pure nowadays!

    Other

Just needed to tighten up a few bolts on the engine to stop it squealing and the exhaust bracket and now its fine.
