  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

That I drive a very relaible and capable car which is as easy and pleasant to drive either around town or on higher speed roads.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

This is a car which at first glance you either Love it or Hate it. But before you judge it from the outside, take a look inside you may well be surprised! The interior is much more akin to a luxury car rather a small runaround. When you take a drive you may well be even more amazed.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would definitely buy this car again and plan to in the next few months. It is very easy to drive, very manoeuverable and economical to drive. Nissan provide big car comfort in a small car. The latest has bluetooth integration and even a speed limiter alarm. But most importantly it is extremely reliable.

What are you likely to buy next?

It will be the Nissan Micra either 1.2 or 1.4.

Did you get a good deal and why?

I didn't get an especially good deal because it was the latest model and new revolutionary design for the Nissan Micra

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I run a driving school and have had 6 Nissan Micra's previously which have all been extremely reliable as well as very easy to drive. I also bought it the day after this new shape model was launched.

    What was the dealer like?

The dealer was very good and the car arrived on the due date

    What's it like to drive?

This car is great around town with its exceptionally quiet engine and easy manoeuverability due to the electronic power steering. It is equally impressive on dual-carriageways and motorways, as it picks up speed quite quickly for the size of it's 1.2 engine and cruises very easily and remarkedly quietly at 70mph. It loses a little speed going up hill when the car is loaded, but if you plan for the hill and take a bit of run at it, it is hardly noticable and almost insignificant.

    What's it like to park?

Extremely easy to park because of the tight turning circle and the elctronic power steering which gets lighter the slower the car is moving.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

You may be surprised to know, but I still have the car. It has now done 189,000 miles! It was fine up to about 160,000 miles when I needed a new alternator. At 188,000 miles I needed a new oil pump. The clutch has been changed at around 80,000 mile intervals.

What's most practical about your car?

It is very easy to manoeuvre, particularly because of not only the electronic power steering, but the very sharp steering lock which enables you to manoeuvre in and out of the tightest of gaps. Great fuel consumption,I'm getting around 44-46mp on driving tuition.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The onboard computer to keep track of mpg, the range of miles until need to top the tank etc. See you home lights. I especially like the keyless ignition, no more fumbling for keys, just walk up to the car, press the button on the door, get in, start up, drive away, brilliant1
