Nissan Note 2006

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

The car is great if you are looking for a small, practical and economical one. Worth going for a well spec'd one I think. However judging from what I have read about the Nissan Note and its suspension I would suggest having someone knowledgeable in cars check out the suspension and chassis before purchase. Especially the subframe and its bushes because if the bushes are worn then the whole subframe has to be replaced.... the subframe alone is £430. Hopefully the warranty will sort this out for me. My first Nissan a 1995 Almera I had pretty much every other year had to replace a part of the suspension on the front and I generally avoid routes with bad potholes and speed bumps with any small to medium Nissan car. However if this issue is sorted out pretty quickly I will amend this review and rate the car higher because I do like it for its practicality, space and comfort. Just one point about space. The car is very spacious for its size and as other reviews have said will comfortably accommodate 3 6ft passengers. However it won't accommodate you comfortably if you have a notorious manspreader as a passenger as the car is quite narrow and his right leg will be competing for your gear stick space.

How reliable do you find the car?

I took the car in for its first service and MOT and had 4 advisories 2 where tyres which I can live with but I had 2 advisories for the subframe bushes worn and front lower arms debonding and was quoted £1200 if I wanted the work done. I am hoping the warranty on the car will sort this out.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

Despite the nasty shock I had regarding the suspension the 11 months I have had this car it has been a pleasurable drive. Perfect for what I need.
