Nissan Primera Saloon 1996-
  • Economy

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Cheap to ensure and 37 mpg running around town (43 mpg on long runs). Needs a major service every 18,000 miles and a minor at 9,000 which are not too expensive even at a main dealer.

    Driving

    5 out of 5 5.0

Excellent cornering ability with muti-link suspension.

    Performance

    3 out of 5 3.0

Reasonable accleration for a 1.6L engine, but no racing car!

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    4 out of 5 4.0

In four years the only fault has been a loose connection on the central locking system. Solved with the aid of a Haynes manual.

    2 out of 5 2.0

Dull, but the joy riders ignore it and the boy racers wish their cars handled this well.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Fully adjustable driver's seat and plenty of room for the passengers. The steering wheel adjustment does not quite go high enough for me (hence only 4 stars).

Do you know anyone that has ever had one nicked? I rest my case.
