What does this car say about you?

It is definately a head turner & people are always fascinated by the doors.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They think its great. Even the colour doesn't put the off it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes but I would try & get the 1.6 HDi as this has more oomph & is more flexible. However, they are very rare on the used car market so I would have to search long & hard.

What are you likely to buy next?

A small car like this. I always try & something that is not too common like a Fiesta & something that is a little bit quirky. As long as it doesn't have too many flaws, I would probably buy it.

  • Driving it

    3 out of 5 3.0

    What's it like to drive?

In city limits & along narrow lanes its brilliant with light steering, a tight turning circle & keen engine up to 40 mph. However, on the open road, the engine has to be worked hard & is very leisurely (0-60 takes 15 secs!!). Thanks to its high centre of gravity, there is also quite a lot of boy roll despite the suspension being stiff which also makes the ride sometimes harsh & it also means that you can feel every bump in the road. Having said all that, there is fantastic all round visibility & you can always find a driving position that is comfortable for short and long journeys.

    What's it like to park?

It's so easy its not even funny. The doors also mean that you can park in tight spaces that many other cars wouldn't consider.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Doors sometimes don't work but is easily fixed with a bit of WD40. Bearings have worn & are apparently common on 1007, 107, 206 & 207 models according to our mechanic.

What's most practical about your car?

The seats make the car very flexible with a variety of combinations in terms of folding & sliding.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Of course, it has to be the doors!! They can turn anyone into a child instantly, with everyone wanting to play with them.
