Value
Not too bad, keeps its value quite well.
Costs
Depends, I found the Renault dealer was ridiculously expensive, and I thought they were not very professional. I had a problem which was hard to explain, but when I got to the garage, I could only tell the woman at the desk who knew nothing.

On the road
Driving
Not bad, pretty quick for its engine size, relatively quiet until I put an induction kit on it. sound increases significantly above 70 mph.
Performance
For a 1.1 its amazing, only just behind my mates Saxo VTR at the lights, the only time you would know its a 1.1 is at higher speeds or climbing hills. Lots of torque. Very good for a first car.

Living with it
Reliability
My car has been very unreliable, lots of problems which have been difficult to diagnose. pretty sure its all to do with the connections to the computer. Other cars I know which are the same seem to be fine. Think I was just unlucky!

Looks nice, I have stuck alloys and Lexus lights on it, which makes it look better, but standard is quite nice. better image than the similar Saxo.
Comfort
Not bad, the model I bought didn't have power steering, which was surprising but steering still relatively light. Dash not bad, quite basic but nevertheless satisfactory.

No alarm, just factory fitted immobiliser, which I found out when I got a replacement key cut!
Service
Peugeot service very poor. Couldn't speak to a mechanic, had to explain the problems to the woman at the service desk who knew nothing. This made an already difficult to diagnose problem even harder. Strongly recommend you take your 106 somewhere else.

Engine
On board computer has caused me endless problems since I bought the car, but as I said, I think I was very unlucky, haven't seen the same problem in any other 106's.
Other
Exhaust centre pipe rotted and had to be replaced, then rotted again within 6 months.
