Value
Cheap to buy if you find a good one. Holds price well.
Costs
Parts can be expensive. Fuel consumption is good even when pushed very hard (300 miles to a tank is just feasible).

Driving
Great to drive. Rewarding. Deserves top notch tyres and can take 185/55R14s although heavy on steering. Handle is sharp and fun like a hot hatch should be.
Performance
Quick car, especially when treated to a good air filter and exhaust. Needs 8 more valves and an extra camshaft for a 5 though.

Hasn't let me down, but needs keeping on top of services and wearing parts due to age.

Aggressive look from all angles. Best looking 106 in my opinions. Looks like a proper hot hatch.
Comfort
Seats hold very very well, but are hard on long journeys. Ride is hard too and there is lots of wind noise at speed.

Alarm and keypad immobiliser as standard. No need for an extra unit.
Service
Dealers sometimes unhelpful. Parts expensive and not knowledgeable about this car as it's quite rare.
