Peugeot 205 Hatchback 1983
  • Economy

    Value

    5 out of 5 5.0

I bought mine for £65 off Ebay and it is the best value motoring I have had.

    Costs

    5 out of 5 5.0

Bought a donor car and stripped that for spares, nearly everything is available through your local motor factors so paying extortionate dealer prices is a thing of the past.

    Driving

    5 out of 5 5.0

Agile and accurate hatch back with loads of scope for image and performance improvements, most of the bit's of the GTi's will fit.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

For a 1.4 it is amazingly quick, I have kept up with a 1.6 GTi until about 90 mph then it was off. Loads of fun to be had on twisty country lanes!

  • Living with it

    Reliability

Never once let me down and eager to start even on the coldest mornings.

    Image

    4 out of 5 4.0

Cool.... The eighties were a splendid time and this design will never age in my opinion.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

It's a Peugeot designed for short French people with supple backs.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    1 out of 5 1.0

    What security?

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

Vary rarely visit dealers but all experiences good until you tell them what car it is then they seem to become uninterested very quickly.
