Prices high due to demand, but still a good buy.
Costs
Insurance group 5 is great for the performance. Economy excellent, but later HDi even better.

Lovely ride - soaks up the worst Birmingham roads have to offer. Handling nice with pleasant steering. Great for long journeys too.

Very nippy once the turbo kicks in!

Still stylish, which is more than can be said for its rivals at the time! The Escort was a dog!

Generally fine, but I find the clutch has too much travel for my taste.

Clutch had to be replaced although George Heath tried to tell me that nothing was wrong with it.
