  • Summary

What does this car say about you?

Hard to say really, probably that i'm just a sensible fella?

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My neighbour liked it so much he sold his Qashqai and bought a brand new 308 e-HDi 112 Active earlier this year after driving Nissan for 15 years. The rest think it looks great especially in Inpanema Blue.

Would you buy this car again and why?

100% I've always driven Peugeot's and this 308 has been one of the best I've had. Lovely driving cars, really comfortable, refined and economical. I couldn't ask for much more.

What are you likely to buy next?

I am thinking of buying one of the facelifted 308's with the 1.6 e-HDi 112 engine only in Allure trim. I couldn't have my neighbour driving a better Peugeot than me haha.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £9,200

When did you buy the car?

    November 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes, the equivalent car was near £10,000 on Used Cars NI and it was in the local dealership. I saved a lot of money buying this over the others.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I crashed my old 307 and needed a replacement as soon as possible.

    What was the dealer like?

Excellent, very helpful indeed! After I crashed my previous car, I had to wait 2 weeks for the claim to be settled so the local dealer set me up with a courtesy car until my money came through to buy my own. I felt like a valued customer because of this.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

You would never call it sporty, but it drives just as well as the my old 05 307 only it's far more comfortable. Sticks to the road well, body is well controlled too. Only thing I don't like is the feel through the steering, it feels too artificial. The 1.6 HDi 110 engine is superb, really torquey and very economical when driven nicely.

    What's it like to park?

Not bad at all, the thick rear pillar aren't that bad as long as the rear head rests are down. The long sloping bonnet isn't a problem.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Not a thing, it's been totally reliable!

What's most practical about your car?

Great sized boot, handy slide out trays under front seats and lots of space upfront.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Mine has climate control which was an extra, it works really well especially on a cold morning. The cruise control and speed limiter is also very handy!
