  • Summary

    2 out of 5 2.0

What does this car say about you?

Nothing, I do not expect it to say anything, I just prefer estate cars - but not this one.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

It moves 4/5 people and some luggage from A to B. The exterior design wins a few points.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Never. If I follow our local garages advice, do not buy anything French.

What are you likely to buy next?

I already own a Mercedes C Class Estate and am waiting for it to be transferred from Spain to the UK. Have owned three Mercedes and would buy another.

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Independent

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £0

When did you buy the car?

    May 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

Seemed to be a little cheaper than others of similar age with long MOT and 6 months tax.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Recently transferred from Spain, needed a 'spare' vehicle until my own arrived.

    What was the dealer like?

Attentive to start with, not at all interested after sale concluded in my opinion.

  • Driving it

    3 out of 5 3.0

    What's it like to drive?

    Seems adequate in all areas.

    What's it like to park?

Gets better with practise, a reversing sensor would be a welcome addition (much more use that a sun roof).

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Within 20 miles of collection, engine management light illuminated and vehicle adopted 'crawl home mode'. Phoned dealer who eventually agreed to 'look into the problem'. Following day, car would not start. After solving that problem, the DPF illuminated, electrics suggested tyres were flat, some bulb had failed (which they had not) and several other electrical faults emerged. The vehicle sat outside the Dealers for just over a week, in the end, they refused to repair it unless I paid a further £500/£600.

What's most practical about your car?

Being an Estate Car, the load carrying capacity is useful. Also the not so expensive Insurance and Tax.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

None, full length sun roof is a waste of time, it would have been better to install SatNav or a reversing device. Whatever gadgets the car carries and just something else to go wrong.
