Proton Persona Saloon 1993-
  • Economy

    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

Although they drop dramatically, it is a Mitsubishi so it speaks for itself- good value.

    Costs

    3 out of 5 3.0

Around 38mpg combined more like 46mpg on motorways.

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Light and agile, slightly bumpy on country roads, motorways are very smooth.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Gets around town if you have the pwr & eco switch on the automatic it really goes.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

Always starts first turn, any weather keep it serviced and you have no worries.

    Image

    4 out of 5 4.0

The select has it all, coloured bumper wing mirror, sills, metallic tinted mirrors, sun roof, has it all can't complain probably better than some other European cars I could mention, remember they laughed at Skoda.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Front seat good, but back is a wee bit cramped, but good on the select model.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

Well who breaks into Protons? That's one good thing about it, nicking a proton would be bad for street cred.

    Service

    4 out of 5 4.0

Either 6k or 12k, some parts expensive but I have never bought any.
