Value
Bought mine for £9999. Top of the range 1.2 16v with climate control. Was pleased, because only Micra would give as many options for the price and that dents anyone's image.
Costs
Spares are very expensive. I got free insurance but when I badly scuffed my alloys, they wanted me to get Renault orignals which cost £200/alloy. aftermarket cost £399 for whole set for nice TSW's

On the road
Driving
Only postivie thing I can say is the 'drive'. It has one of the lightest steering wheels compared to all the cars I have driven. Very easy to stall the car (not because I am imcompetant driver- happens when other drive it as well)
Performance
For 1.1 (although they say 1.2) it performs well. Only the Punto is faster in this 1.2 16v league. if you want a fast car get a MG ZR base model 1.4 (0-60mph in less than 10 seconds- higher insurance- group 6- well worth it though)

Nicer than a Micra, definately.
Comfort
Bucket seats are very comfortable, but cause backpain during long journeys. The MG ZR seats are so much nicer.

Only came with immobiliser. The security system is meant to lock automatically but only works when you dont want it to lock.
Service
Appauling service. rude customer service team. Dealers trying to scam customers. I have seen ths happen to others and then same thing happening to me. Very slow service on top of that

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Computer failure within first 2 weeks of purchase whilst on M25. The car just slowed itself down from 100 mph to 10 mph. If the motorway was busy on the day, I would not be here to write this report. Aftermarket air filter makes difference to performance.
Other
Windscreen hisses, brakes are not responsive enough, does not give 47 mpg. More like 35 mpg even when I am driving very sanely.
