A typical French car. Relatively cheap motoring but a very uninspiring and uncomfortable place to be sat on any length of journey. I inherited this car from my late parents as it is definitely not a car I would ever look to purchase. One positive about Renaults is they do seem to have very well galvanised bodywork panels so rust isn't so much of an issue on these older cars although the subframe is starting to look quite flaky and I will probably scrap it once it needs welding.
How reliable do you find the car?
Following a roadside breakdown I was shocked at paying £700 for a new fuel pump (including VAT & Labour). Unfortunately at that time the car didn't quite justify scrapping.
Air conditioning packed up long ago and the fan only works on two speeds.
