At the time I had it it said my personal car which is a little bit differnt to the Mondeo`s and Astra`s that everyone else had
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Most really loved it. Really good looking and with the top spec Monaco trim made even my mate with a Z3 look twice. It was sneered at to a certain extent by the 3 series owners - an was critized as being a "hairdresses car" - but I think they were jealous that they hadn`t got one....
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes - but as a 11 year old used car would only buy if VERY well maintained.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Company car so ordered and delivered. Would have prefered to negotiate directly with my local Renault dealer but was not allowed
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Chose it as a company car. It won a test drive battle over Seat Toledo, Alfa 156, Ford Focus 2.0 Ghia etc.
What was the dealer like?
The servicing dealer was fine!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very responsive, quite fast - easily as quick as an equivalent Golf GTI. Well presented interior with leather seats, and good quality plastics. it certainly made me smile on a fast run, about 140 miles an hour on a French Autoroute! (I hope no Gendarmeria are reading) :) and also very responsive in the corners. Well sorted, good power to weight ratio, solid as well, so there is a good feeling of security.
What's it like to park?
Well, its a small coupe with good power steering, so easy.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No - it was trouble free from 0 to 40,000 miles that I had it (00 to 02)
What's most practical about your car?
Hmm - I cannot say the Megane Coupe is very practical - it is essentially a 2 seater coupe! I once gave a couple of mates a lift and they sat in the back - they are Rugby players and said the journey was more challenging than the match they had just played in!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Good stereo - 6 CD interchanger.
