Renault Megane Hatchback (1996 - 2002) 1.6 16V Fidji 5d Owner Review

This car is much more fun and visceral than modern cars. Bought as a my first car, while holding a full license but I have drove many cars in the 10 years that I held my provisional. You feel so connected to the car and it's got a good amount of umph. Leaves it's modern counterparts in the dust because of their eco settings. Cornering is fantastic!

Bought for £500 and all mine needed was two new tyres and a front strut bearing, costing £300. It has working AC, rear parking sensors, electric mirrors, ABS and electric windows. If you can find one that is well looked after then go for it, you won't regret it and you'll remind yourself how fun cars used to be!

0-60 is stated as 9.5s but mine will do it in 9s, on a flat road, on a dry day.
