Economy
Value
The car in total cost just over 20k, for that I had every concievable extra. However, although the price is high the extras are worth the money and the total cost is softened when you see that a full tank of diesel has a range of over 650miles.
Costs
Excellent economy with the diesel engine and performance too, cant be bad! The sevice at 18000 miles cost a little over £150. My only real complaint is regarding the 17inch wheels. The tyres are pricey and very soft so wear quickly.

On the road
Driving
An excellent drive, smooth power delivery and good, responsive throttle. The steering is precise and adapts well to speed and the road type. Many people have a problem with the steering in the megane, but i rate it up there with my new Mercedes E- Class
Performance
The performance of this car is great. From a standing start i've moved this car far quicker than the Renault figures. The pull in all gears is impressive and still pleanty of torque in 6th gear at 60mph to increase speed rapidly. Fit cruise control!

Living with it
Reliability
Trustworthy car, backed by full AA cover if trouble does occur. Renault dealers give swift support if any problems arise. The whole package reflects reliability and confidence in the product.

Pearl black and a rear spoiler add to the look of an already eye-catching motor. I bought the car for safety reasons, the fact that Renault have been bold in their design and produced an individual look in a dull motoring sector adds to my daily enjoyment
Comfort
Smooth drive, excellent insulation from all noises, leather interior is of good quality and better grade than Mercedes. In sporty Dynamique form the panaramic roof is a must to let in light. Climate control, heated seats etc all add luxury.

Security and Service
Security
Thatcham Category 1 full closure alarm is standard on most models. Locking wheels nuts, see you home lighting, storage space for all oddments mean that nothing is seen to warrant opportunist thieves breaking in. If they do get in immob see's them off
Service
Cardiff Renault are curtious and try to please. They are always busy which for some can cause problems, smile and be curtious and they will always do their best for you. It worked for me - 2 weeks knocked off waiting time!
