  • Summary

What does this car say about you?

    The big pretender.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Looks posh & high quality. Disappointment when they get inside.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No way. Cost more in unexpected repairs over 50K miles then it did to buy.

What are you likely to buy next?

Collecting a diesel Volvo S60 next week for less money, higher mileage, but research suggests the engine is good for 200K miles+.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Doing high mileage, my first diesel.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Feels light for its size, plenty of power when unladen. Manual gear box and diesel provide enough challenge to keep me awake. Skittish when low on diesel, noticeably heavier with a full tank.

    What's it like to park?

Ok. Unexpectedly challenging when compared to other larger estates.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Turbo let go on first long drive. Handbrake let go at 20,000 miles. Front suspension let go at 30,000 miles. Ball joints replaced at 25,000 miles and 40,000 miles. Constant trips to garage to replace Renault approved parts which let go before they should.

What's most practical about your car?

Interior space is perfect for claustrophobic driver & passengers.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
