What does this car say about you?

Small family car, pratical for short run around journeys but not good for holidaying

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Got some funny looks as it was a new design when we got it. No real compliments only fasination for the panaramic sunroof.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes as a second car if they gave me a 15 year warranty to cover all the guaranteed future repairs that will need to be done!! thats a no by the way.

What are you likely to buy next?

Have had enough of typical renault problems for the past 15 years so have just bought a Nissan Note due to its positive reviews from you and others. Lets hope this will be a positive convertion from Renault, doe like Renault seats and gadgets! thats why I kept buying them

  • Driving it

    3 out of 5 3.0

    What's it like to drive?

Works well on the motorway but needs an arm rest to take some of the strain out of motorway driving. To get started you need to really push the engine hard, I wish I had gone for the 1.6 instead as I feel I might blow the engine up to get a good acceleration! Overall OK on average roads, does roll when taking corners hard and to brake you have to push hard on the pedal before anything happens (very odd) which makes you a little uneasy to whether you will actually stop or not. This is all normal say Renault! famous last words. The megane was better to drive.

    What's it like to park?

Easy, but thats to be expected for this sort of car. Visibilty OK.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Yes a few things intermittant and permanent, rear reversing lights failed, sunroof would not close, clutch occasionally makes a load clicking noise, electric folding wing mirrors that sometimes don't! or even open again, dash display constantly flickers and with the headlights on they flicker as well!, gear stick spring had to be replaced along with a coil No3 as per another owner on the list, had to have new tyres at 12K miles! etc etc most corrected under warranty but we still had to hire a car to cover the repair period. Drinks petrol does average 27mpg

What's most practical about your car?

Seat height, climate control, can be fun to drive although you really have to push the engine to get anywhere. Kids like the lower back window to see out of. Space is OK but brilliant, needs more really.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Climate control, glass panaramic sunroof, window blinds built in, electric folding wing mirrors (when they work!) cornering lights add a nice touch in the dark (just to show off)
