Other Rover 100 (1994 - 1999) models:

  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

The alloys and leather show its a cut above the rest of the typical Metro/100. Car looks sporty for the year.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Everyone is suprised by how nippy and stylish the car still looks

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would buy this car new if still made but rust seems to be settling in on all models. If i had a spare 1000 i would buy a 1000 again as could afford to redo wheel arches etc.

What are you likely to buy next?

A punto, look stylish and already put deposit down :-)

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Very pleasant and suprisingly nippy, very fast up to thirty so great for setting off first from lights in town, alright on inclines going up onto the motorway. Winds can affect the car quite a lot, but still holds on the motorway providing you grip the steering wheel. Seats are leather and very comfortable, sound system is standard but suprisingly good.

    What's it like to park?

Very easy although no power steering, its very easy to judge.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

As usual the rust on the wheel arches has appeared and not been helped by someone kicking the wheel arch in. The handbrake has come to the end of its life. The car shakes in first gear as the clutch is going, but then again its been like that for four months and got no worse. The rust, handbrake and clutch need replacing in order to pass the MOT so will be getting rid of the car in plenty of time

What's most practical about your car?

Five doors, cigarette lighter and central locking

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Enjoy the alarm and central locking. It remote C\L. Car looks retro and enjoy the electric windows :-). Lights in glove box and boot.
