Rover 200 Cabriolet 1992-
  • Economy

    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

Much more cabrio for your money than Gof / Astra / Escort.

Avoid Rover main dealers - they are the pits! Plenty of independants will look after these.

    Driving

Good overall position, controls well laid out.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Great for a 1600; nippy if not genuinely quick. How you drive them doesn't effect the fuel economy very much!

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

Service them and they will reward you well.

Great. There are one or two wrinklies still driving them, but the fact so many older people bought these new means there are a lot of unabused ones out there - not the same with Astra / Golf / Escort etc.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Seats ok, suspension a bit hard, but that helps it go around corners.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    1 out of 5 1.0

Don't rely on factory fits. Alarm will go off when no one's near the car, yet when someone smashes a window not a beep!

    Service

    1 out of 5 1.0

Rover dealers are very poor. Don't want to know you if you are not interested in buying new. Prices are a rip off.
