  • On the road

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

Not bad for age of design, tight handling only spoiled by creaky body.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Pokey performer when it worked, ran rough in wet weather.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    2 out of 5 2.0

Electrical system install by blind monkeys, central locking system was haunted

    Image

    2 out of 5 2.0

A joke that this was once sold as a BMW rival! Only the just about stylish coupe shape saves it from being a complete embarrasment

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Half leather seats are a nice shape, good driving position, controls are easy to use, and it cruised nicely at motorway speeds (when it worked).

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

    2 out of 5 2.0

Dealers unable to help with anything on this older model,
