Rover 200 Coupe 1992-
  • Economy

    Value

This is a 150mph car! For £3000. Bargain, I would say.

£37 will get you a tankful of unleaded with this you'll get 230 miles on a run and 150 driven enthusiastically.

Very connected with the road. Feel even the smallest of bumps. I'd advise against lowering it as mine is only lowered 45mm and the shafts are running 45 degrees(!) which can lead to reliability problems. The car has a very good turn in, but torque steer!

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Rapid, with heaps of torque for lazy style driving.

    Reliability

    3 out of 5 3.0

Apart from drive train issues due to neglect from previous owner, a sound car but watch out for oil leaks.

Still looks good and it's an 8 year old car, but design is starting to feel dated.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

The seats are very comfortable. The ride can be harsh, but it is a sports car. I also find the roof line a bit low and can be annoying.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    1 out of 5 1.0

Standard alarm rubbish and the frameless doors might as well not be there as I can slip my finger in very easily.
