Old Grandad image, pipe and slippers out!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Boring car - but nice to ride in - Its a Honda with a Rover badge on it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No - would not touch again. Its a Rover and there's no dealers now; with dwindling parts available from other dealers who stock limited Rover spares at extortionate prices - cashing in on Rover owner's misery.

What are you likely to buy next?

Already have bought Ford Mondeo Mk II - At least you can still buy parts for them!

Since buying I realised I was ripped off as these cars go for peanuts.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Nice looking car on dealer forcourt

What was the dealer like?

Dealer was nice when buying, but rude, unhelpful and abusive when I had problems with the car in the weeks afterwards.

What's it like to drive?

Its great to drive, really nippy, but beware of dodgy Idle though when stopping at junctions - liable to stall. Its comfy and steers well - but thats cos its a Honda design Not cos its a Rover.

What's it like to park?

Good at getting into tight spaces - quite compact, but would rather have reversing sensors on the saloon as its difficult to judge where the back of the car ends.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Exhaust frontpipe went in first week - £90 to put right. Gearbox failed shortly after and was a real wrangle with dealer to put right. Dodgy idle as well due to faulty EFi. needed new key and fob - £100 for immobiliser fob. Radio code lost so that had to be replaced as soon as battery disconnected. Air con failed. etc etc etc.

What's most practical about your car?

Its comfy - that it.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

No gadgets on this model to mention. Its bog standard. Its got air con - would be nice if it worked! and the only luxury is front lecky windows - Still working!
