  • Summary

What does this car say about you?

Could say a lot of things: Old man, miser, clued up!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Most people think its an old mans car, but when I tell them it does 50mpg, cost me £300, will out perform their 1.2, 1.6 etc they kinda get the point

Would you buy this car again and why?

    YES

What are you likely to buy next?

I'm always the last owner of a car...Infact I've only had one car last another MOT...but died shortly after, so after 10 years and probably 15 or so cars I've decided that if this beauty makes another 6 months to the end of her MOT, I'll scrap and buy another!!

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £300

When did you buy the car?

    June 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?

Are you kidding? Bought it for £300 with 170k and I've done 10k in 5 months including a family holiday to the south of Spain.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

It was the cheapest diesel I could find with air-con

    What was the dealer like?

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Its not a sports car nor was it ever meant to be, but in a straight line it'll overtake very well from 50-80, which is all you really need.

    What's it like to park?

Its not as big as it seems and is very easy to park, but as a saloon its a monkey to judge the rear end.

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing!! Seriously, I changed the oil, oil filter and air filter when I got it for around £25 all in....and nothing has gone wrong, not a bulb, nothing....tell a lie...I have had to fill the screen wash a couple of times.

What's most practical about your car?

Its a pretty practical car, except that I'm used to hatchbacks and estates, so it came as a bit of a shock that I can't just whack a desk/bed/tree etc in the back. Its not the cars fault that its a saloon, but I'm not a fan.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The air con is icy cold. Don't know if the previous owner re-gassed it or what, but it works a treat.
