Great value - what is faster, cheaper to run & more practical for the money?

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Average 33mpg, very impressive for a 9 yr old 200bhp car. Most components & standard service items common to standard 600 - I use independent garage for servicing, most parts cheap. Gp 17ins high & budget £600 to refurbish gearbox at 85k.

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Nice steering & controls - easy & enjoyable to drive. Handling & chassis set up more for high speed cruising than B road GTi baiting.

    Performance

    5 out of 5 5.0

Very fast - great Q car - everyone will underestimate your speed which has advantages & disadvantages!

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    4 out of 5 4.0

Bought at 5yrs old & 42k - let me down twice - 1 flat battery and 1 new altenator required. AA callout enabled me to drive home both times - not too bad for 60k in 3yrs.

Quite nice looking - great Q car perfectly disguised as Grandad's cruiser! Can be very enjoyable.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Comfy over long distances, only let down by slight lack of headroom for tall drivers & could do with aircon, especially with black leather interior! Good sized boot also.

  • Security and Service

    Security

Standard immobiliser + alarm. Make sure central locking & immobiliser key are present & correct.

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

    Always used a good independent.
