Other Rover 75 (1999 - 2004) models:

  • Summary

    3 out of 5 3.0

What does this car say about you?

The looks of the car says 'you have arrived in style' overall the car is a bargain price as depreciation has ben high with the demise of Rover

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like the looks of the car, the styling, the alloy wheels, in silver metalic it looks very classy, though my friends like me think the reliability is c**p

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would not buy the petrol engine Rover 75 again as the reliability has been so poor, I berlieve the diesel engine model is better with the BMW sourced engine, especially when chipped back to BMW performance !

What are you likely to buy next?

Not a Rover 75 !! probably a Toyota for reliability

Main Kia dealer at Stoke on Trent, gave a 6 months warrenty, but restricted to only 6K miles, replaced battery but refused to cover water pump when failed at 6K miles

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Dont expect brisk acceleration even though the engine is a 2.0 lt V6, though motorway cruising is efortless and very smooth ride, its not exactly a drivers car more like a 'old mans'

    What's it like to park?

with the parking sensors very esasy

  • Living with it

    2 out of 5 2.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Can has prooved to be very unbreliable, water pump failed at 46K miles, clutch failed at 55K miles engine developed a serious oil leak. I spent £1850 at an independant Rover garage at Stoke on Trent on repairs, including cam belts as they cost £600 on the V6 to change when due at 90K miles-so beware if you consider buying the pertrol model with high miles

What's most practical about your car?

Excellent load area with rear seates folded

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

the parking sensors fitted by previous owner are a must as reversing view is limited through the rear window
