Other Suzuki Swift (2005 - 2011) models:

  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

It's more individual than the sea of Polos and Fiestas out there and it looks good. It's just a little more interesting than a lot of the other cars in this class.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

The rarity of the car always means it got people asking what it was and everyone who had a ride liked it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes because it's great value, good to drive, fairly economical (high 30s) and extremely reliable. I had it for 6 years and it never missed a beat, servicing was cheap and it put a smile on my face.

What are you likely to buy next?

Not sure, something a bit sportier.

    £6,750

When did you buy the car?

    July 2006

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes because we got the car under a year old with less than 7,000 miles and saved £2,250!

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

    As a first car.

    What was the dealer like?

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Great, the clutch is light, steering direct and engine fairly nippy. It's no sports car but it handles very well, cruises at high motorway speeds and is small enough to nip into gaps around town.

    What's it like to park?

Easy, the small dimensions make it a doddle and the large electric wing mirrors are useful so you can see the kerb when parallel parking.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

The clutch failed prematurely at 36,000 miles but apart from that it was extremely reliable.

What's most practical about your car?

Plentiful headroom both front and rear and can fit 5 adults.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Keyless entry is extremely useful as you don't have to take the keys out of your pocket.
