In their own words

I ha previously owned 2 Avensis saloons which I loved for excellent standard of design, manufacture, reliability and quality of dealer service. They were reliable to high mileages above 100k. I bought this Auris assuming it would be an equivalent current mid-range delight. Sadly it’s flaws detract. Firstly the body panels are not well positioned or fixed. Second the on- board satnav I detest. It is quoted at £119 to update its map. Also it cannot be turned off (confirmed by Toyota corporate). Most of my mileage is on local familiar roads so I don’t need map or voice distraction. Personally I see screen based info systems a risk and dangerous to be offered in a car. I choose not to stop every time I want to use it, even for radio! Give me button presets for safety!
